Job Description:

Title: InterSystems Developer
Area: Bellville, Cape Town
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
My client is looking for an excellent server side web developer eager to develop a wide variety of skills and build a great career for themselves within this outstanding organization

Educational Requirements:

• Matric with Maths HG
• Recognised IT Certificate/Diploma in Development

Skill Requirements:

• Experience in a combination of the following:

HTML/JavaScript/ XML, AJAX, Server Side Web Technologies (PHP, ASP etc.), SQL Query Language, Java/.Net exposure

• Cache/SQL/ Oracle database experience
• Intermediate Operating Systems skills ( Windows and/or Linux)
• InterSystems Technology

Additional Skill Requirements:

• Proven development experience in one or more of the following technologies will be advantageous: C++, Cache (COS: Cache Object Script), Ensemble, JavaScript/AJAX, Java, .Net, Perl, Clarion
• A good understanding of object orientation and web development
• Ability to develop technical documentation from high level design specifications
• Ability to develop commercial grade web based applications
• Ability to perform application testing
• Understanding and conformance to SDLC
• Ability to operate independently while delivering work that meets the quality and standards as dictated by the employer
• Ability to develop and configure server back end components
• Be able to pick up modules developed by other developers when required

Personality Requirements:

• Interact with users to gain understanding & requirements
• High degree of aptitude in the IT environment
• Understanding of the Management of IT and IT Infrastructure
• Entrepreneurial initiative (self-starter)
• Team orientated as well as an ability to work independently
